The G20 Summit Is an Opportunity For Modi And a Test of India’s Global Leadership

The world’s largest economic representation among  the countries will be held in New Delhi for the upcoming week of  G20 Leaders Summit. 

In 1999, the intergovernmental forum was founded. The main aim for this was to bring the financial minister together from the 19 nations along with the European Union. The European Union was brought together to raise the issues related to the global economy in 2008.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is counting on September 9 or 10 to boost  his country’s rank and position. 

The director of the South Asia Institute at the Wilson Centre, Micheal Kugelman stated that,

New Delhi views the G20 presidency as an opportunity to show that it has the capacity to serve a bridge to the Globe South, that it can show India’s ability to manage relations with the rival powers.
