Goldman Sachs Hit With 1.1 Million Dollars Lawsuit From Former Executive Alleging a ‘Culture of Bullying’

Culture of Bullying

A former Goldman Sachs executive is suing the bank for an undisclosed sum of money, claiming that he was forced to work in a “dysfunctional” work environment that caused him mental health problems and left him in tears during his time with the firm.

The suit was filed by Ian Dodd, 55, on behalf of GS International, which he joined in November 2018 as head of global recruiting. He left the firm in 2021. The suit seeks damages from Goldman Sachs for a total of USD 1.1 million.

Dodd also alleges that he was diagnosed with a mental illness in 2019 before resigning in 2021, though the documents did not specify whether the diagnosis was physical or psychological.

Goldman Sachs denies the allegations, asserting that it provided Dodd with “provided with appropriate reasonable advice and support” and that it did not know that he was ill.
