Sanjay Mahato, a man from Jhargram, West Bengal gifted a plot of land on the moon to his wife on her birthday. As per the reports, Sanjay Mahato stated that he had promised his wife to bring the moon for her before getting married to her.
He bought one acre of land in Moon for Rs 10, 000. He also stated that he was inspired by the grand success of the Chandrayaan-3 mission. After seeing the success of Chandrayaan-3 he got the inspiration that he can also fulfill his promise.
He said that
Me and my wife courted for a long time and then got married last April. I had promised to bring the Moon for her. I couldn’t live up to that promise. But now, on her first birthday after our wedding, I thought why not give her a plot on the Moon.
